A New Epoch is Dawning Upon America

A new epoch is dawning upon America. From Pennsylvania to Constitution Avenue, Main Street to Wall Street, Silicon Valley to the college quad, there's a palpable "vibe shift" sweeping across the nation. President Trump's triumphant return has ignited a surge of optimism and confidence unlike anything I have ever seen.

The political and cultural atmosphere feels drastically different from just a few weeks ago; Whether it’s the legacy media growing ever-impotent in controlling the news narrative, JD Vance mercilessly dunking on left-wing journos on live TV, Trump telling the recalcitrant president of Colombia to FAFO, tech billionaires groveling at Trump's feet, or Border Czar Tom Homan rounding up illegal aliens in the streets of Chicago, it feels like the old order is crumbling. And it is a glorious sight to behold.

I am one of those people beaming with optimism. Over dinner, a friend observed, "I've never seen you this happy dude," as we chatted about Trump's executive orders. I cannot recall a time in recent memory when conservatives and Republicans were more proud and open about their identity than I see today. As someone shrewdly observed, "It's cool to be a conservative these days."

One needs to look no further for this shift than in Silicon Valley, a traditional foothold of the progressive liberal elite. Elon Musk, David Sachs, Marc Andreessen, Shaun Maguire, Mark Zuckerberg, and Peter Thiel are some of the prominent names that have openly aligned themselves with President Trump - this would've been almost unthinkable just four years ago. Regardless of their intentions, their actions seem to be accommodative of the President's agenda.

Consider that Mark Zuckerberg, the man who disgracefully banned the president from his social media platform, recently announced that his company Meta would terminate its partnership with so-called "fact-checkers," - which, it bears noting, is just another component of the Orwellian legacy media machine - as part of a move to return the company to its free speech roots. This, undoubtedly, was influenced by Trump's promise to restore free speech.

This newfound optimism is reasonable considering what our country endured under the Biden-Harris administration. The past four years seemed like one giant cacophony of insanity. The persistent economic woes, the relentless assault on common sense, the reckless disregard for the rule of law, the unprecedented political persecution, and the tireless gaslighting from the media collectively made many Americans like me utterly hopeless.

Ponder, for instance, the absurdities that marked the Biden era: When our supposed "Catholic" president proclaimed Easter, one of the holiest days of the Christian calendar, "Trans Visibility Day;" when he unlawfully imposed a vaccine mandate on 100 million Americans; or when he facilitated the entry of over 10 million illegal aliens into our country, how could anyone have sincerely felt optimistic in the face of such chaos? The incessant onslaught of one disastrous policy after the other combined with the media's complicity painted a dark portrait of a country degenerating to a point of no return.

This explains why the advent of Trump's second term has been such a profound relief for our nation. In just one week since reassuming office, the president has wasted no time grabbing the bull by the horns and, to the surprise of many, unleashing a blizzard of executive orders aimed at the core of the social, economic, and cultural malaise plaguing our country. The President's inaugural vision of an American golden age seems to be materializing with each passing day.

Most notable among the executive orders include the return to In-person work, the termination of DEI in the federal government, the rescinsion of LBJ's Affirmative Action EO, the unleashing of America's energy potential, and the ban on the chemical castration of children, one of the greatest evils of our day.

Most impressively, the president has targeted illegal immigration, a core issue in the 2024 presidential election. Given many of the problems facing our country are downstream from illegal immigration, many had hoped Trump would prioritize tackling the crisis. Not only has he declared a national emergency at the border, but in spectacularly based fashion, he has stationed our troops to protect our border. Even more, he has already begun deporting illegal aliens as promised on the campaign trail.

ICE has arrested and deported hundreds of illegal alien criminals with offenses ranging from child rape and murder to drug trafficking and terrorism. One can't help but ask, why were these people even allowed into our country? Why are they living among us? And why did Biden not deport them when he could have? As expected, the president's swift executive actions have resulted in a dramatic reduction in illegal alien crossings.

President Trump's alacrity and effectiveness in addressing these issues underpin much of the confidence and optimism that has taken over American life. For once in a long time, the government seems to be working for the American people again.

No longer does the executive branch appear absent of a leader as it were during the Biden years - now there is a visible and present leader steering the wheel. Most importantly, unlike the previous administration which was obsessively preoccupied with foreign interests and causes, now we have a president who unapologetically prioritizes the interests of the American people.

The executive branch isn't the only wellspring of this optimism; Though to a lesser extent, the private sphere has contributed its fair share. Remarkably, even without any economic legislation, over a trillion dollars of investments have already been announced, signaling robust economic prospects for the future.

Most excitingly, the spirit of American ingenuity and ambition, which once drove pioneers westward in search of new frontiers, seems very much alive again. Musk's endeavors with SpaceX have particularly captured the public imagination. In what might be one of the most incredible feats of scientific ingenuity in American history - I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it - SpaceX not only launched an 11-million pound rocket but also pulled off the impossible - catching it upon its return. This jaw-dropping achievement, akin to the first transcontinental railroad binding the coasts, has revived Americans' hope of returning to the moon and possibly colonizing Mars.

Perhaps the clearest sign of this vibe shift is Trump’s purge of the federal bureaucracy. Much of Trump’s inability to effect perennial change during his first term was attributable to the cadre of obstinate career bureaucrats under his reins, many of whom consistently sought to undermine his agenda. But like Augustus returning to Rome after vanquishing his rivals, determined to secure his empire from the rot of corruption, the president has begun to weed out these bureaucrats. From revoking the security clearances of the 51 intelligence officials who lied about the Hunter Biden laptop story to ridding the DOJ of the rogue prosecutors who carried out the January 6 political prosecutions, the President now moves with the tactfulness of a leader who understands the stakes and is determined to succeed this time around.

This political plotline could not unfold more perfectly. The narrative arc of the last eight years seems to bend towards a greater future. Consider this: President Trump came within an ear tilt of being assassinated and was just a handful of states away from rotting in prison. Yet, against the mountainous opposition from the media and the courts, he emerged victorious, becoming only the second person in American history to achieve such a victory; This momentous backdrop, coupled with the overflowing confidence that is sweeping across the nation, makes one thing clear: if these initial weeks of Trump's second term are a foreshadowing of the four years ahead - and I believe they are - then we are on course for a golden epoch in our nation's history.
